Collaborative Leadership

Let Us Invest In You

If you’re a foreperson-level employee or higher committed to taking your jobsites from good to great, this is the leadership training for you. When you’re out in the field navigating the fast-paced, competitive, and challenging industry that you’re leading, collaboration is the key to success. Leading in a true partnership culture means maximizing the skills and knowledge of the whole team to deliver a project safely, on time, and on budget. This is not technical training. You won’t be on the tools. You’ll be at the table with other Forepersons, Safety Managers, Project Managers, Estimators, Site supers, and owners, expanding your management and communication skills as collaborative leaders.

There are 100 leaders in each session, from across Canada and the United States.  The NCC has two seats available for each of the 3 sessions this year.  Secure one of them for yourself!

What Will Happen

After 3 days at this all-expenses-paid career development experience in Las Vegas you’ll come away with more fully developed skills to take a team approach to problem solving. You’ll better understand your own management style, your strengths, and the impact you have on others, with new skills to help you successfully strategize and communicate your team-building efforts. And you’ll have taken a meaningful step in building your career and representing your union with pride and confidence, making new friends and industry contacts across the continent.

How Much Does It Cost

It is our intention that you have no out-of-pocket expenses. We book and pay for your economy class airfare including the fee for 1 checked bag, plus room and board at the International Training Centre, and you’ll receive an additional $200 stipend. This compensation serves to cover any small expenses as well as lost wages while traveling.

Where You’ll Stay

The UBC hosts all the members at the 1 million square foot International Training Centre in Las Vegas. The accommodation, dining, and training are all provided on site.

Application Process

The NCC team will do all the booking for you including flight and accommodation once you’ve been accepted into the training.
