International Training Center, Las Vegas
NCC provides the technical and leadership training necessary for our members to achieve their highest potential.
We are dedicated to the safety and well-being of every member and ensure that members value a culture of safety and know how to deliver it, regardless of trade classification, on any jobsite.
With training centres across Canada and in Las Vegas, we guarantee that employers have access to the highly trained and skilled workforce they need to ensure project success, and that all our members are Work Ready when they arrive Day 1 on the job site.
For Members
The National Construction Council is committed to providing you with the training you need to succeed in your construction career.
Whether that’s apprenticeship training, certifications, or leadership training, we provide what you need to be the best. While on an NCC project, all recertifications not otherwise covered by your home local are covered by the NCC.
The following are examples of “Work Ready” training certifications that members (from apprentice to journeyperson) may be required to present prior to dispatch, depending on jobsite requirements. Please present your tickets to your local training centre or email to amorham@ubcja.ca for uploading.

For Employers
Once your employees have joined the National Construction Council, we are accountable for training them in your required skills and certifications.
We guarantee that all workers meet the qualifications, standards, and requirements for every project by providing cutting-edge curriculum and custom programs to meet specific needs for every project. NCC will also train prospective members sourced for an NCC signatory contractor’s job in fulfillment of our job-ready workforce promise. The training that the NCC provides for our members creates a discernible increase in productivity for our partners. We’re pleased to announce the roll-out of a new online training request form that makes it easier for members and contractors to request training and to file reimbursement requests.
NCC is committed to apprenticeship training.
Currently, approximately 30% of our members are registered apprentices, and 38% of our members are from equity deserving groups.
Through NCC, apprentices have access to UBC’s Apprentice Integration and Development (AID) Program, designed to enhance success through hands-on and financial supports such as: training, mentorship, recruitment and allowances for dependent care, transportation, PPE and initiation fees.
